We are regularly asked what is the "OCP" Protection on the BHW range of Hand Winches?
Regular BHW winches come with a high quality powder coat painted finish offering excellent corrosion protection. Sometimes you need your winch to work in more extreme environments, this is where the BHW OCP winch can provide a solution.
This BHW "OCP" hand winch model is protected using a unique formulation giving unprecedented long term reliability and superior corrosion resistance and protection in the most severe conditions. The OCP coating provides excellent friction protection and has been proven to be effective through at least 1000 hours of the ASTM B 117 Salt Spray Test. The coating gives the properties of stainless steel without the cost implications.
These BHW units with OCP protection meet and exceed all the requirements within BS EN 13157: 2004+A1:2009.
Each unit comes fully certified with a test certificate or an EC Declaration of Conformity stating compliance with the essential health and safety requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
